Podcast #57 – Coach and Athlete Accountability & Responsibility

In Coach Robb’s opinion, there are far too many “trainers” making suggestions relative to nutrition and hydration that are undermining an athlete’s health. They are also pushing athletes far too hard, at too high of an intensity, and for too long, which is resulting in blood borne diseases such as Epstein Barr, Chronic Fatigue, and Addison’s Disease. In this episode, Coach Robb and David discuss specific steps to keep this from ever happening.

In the second half of the podcast, they talk about how to bridge the gap between what the individual or athlete wants (i.e. leaner, stronger, faster), and how to systematically get there without tipping into either undertraining or overtraining in a sustainable manner. Once this methodology is understood, Coach Robb walks through what is expected of the individual or athlete in order for them to reach their desired goals in a way that is healthy and has been proven to work.
